“Mapping Fab Epitopes to Understand Cytokine Biology”

The Walter lab studies the structural mechanisms of cytokine receptor engagement, which ultimately leads to signaling responses.  Emphasis is currently on the role of low affinity interactions in cytokine activation.  This talk will review our efforts to use antibody fragments to characterize/capture these transient interactions for structural studies as well as monitoring cellular activation.
