The 3D structure of lobster clottable protein
The 3D structure of lobster clottable protein.
The three-dimensional structure of the lobster clottable protein dimer was determined at 17 A by cryo-EM, as a complement to crystallographic experiments. The figures along the top are three different views of the reconstructed volume, generated from fifteen thousand individual particles like those seen in the background. The figures at bottom show the arrangement of dimers in the crystal unit cell determined by a molecular replacement search using the EM model, against a background of clottable protein crystals.
