“A National Resource for Automated Molecular Microscopy”
Bridget Carragher, Associate Professor – Department of Cell Biology, The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA
Bridget Carragher will present a brief overview of the new National Resource for Automated Molecular Microscopy (NRAMM) which will be located at CIMBio. The goal of NRAMM is to develop, test and apply technology aimed towards completely automating the processes involved in
solving macromolecular structure using cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM). The Resource will be focused on four major Core technology projects which will address automation and high throughput methods for specimen handling, image acquisition, data processing and data information integration. We hope to establish NRAMM as both a center for high-throughput molecular imaging as well as for transferring this technology to the research community.
