“A Semi-automated Program for Indexing Helices”

The indexing of helical arrays for image analysis remains a difficult task and often the rate-limiting step in data processing.  A new set of procedures, supported by a graphical user interface, has been developed to confront the difficulties of indexing.  I will demonstrate the uses and potential of this semi-automated helical indexing package using a real example from helical arrays of a bacterial membrane protein.
