Electron tomography of novel DNA tubes modified by gold nanoparticles
Gold nanoparticles of different sizes are used as active elements to control the formation of DNA tubes with various 3D conformation, demonstrating the unique power and programmability of DNA directed organization of nanomaterials. Electron tomography was used to visualize these tubes in 3D at NRAMM. (Jaswinder Sharma, Rahul Chhabra, Anchi Cheng, Jonathan Brownell, Yan Liu, and Hao Yan Science 2 January 2009: 112-116. )
