Roberto Marabini and Carlos Oscar Sánchez Sorzano are from the Biocomputing Unit (BCU) of the Centro Nacional de Biotecnologia (CNB; National Center for Biotechnology) and developers of the Xmipp (X-Window-based Microscopy Image Processing Package). Roberto and Carlos Oscar came to visit Scripps and implemented some of the Xmipp program within the Appion pipeline
